New Barn/Accommodation

We are nearing the completion of a two storied rustic barn on the otherside of the stream from Tawa Lodge. One side of the upperstory will be a self-contained room similar to Totara cabin in that it will have a queen size bed, a small kitchen and comfortable furnishings with a potbelly stove for chilly evenings. There will be a composting toilet and a gas heated shower. There will be no electricity which will add to the unique charm. We will provide battery powered tilly lamps. Attached is a photo of the barn taken from the Lodge. The views from the room are lovely looking down on the stream and into the bush in which the barn is nestled beside. The barn will also be used as storage for hay which will be in the loft on the opposite side to the accommodation. On the ground floor will be stalls for horses in the winter months and a place to keep Gerards beautiful horse drawn wagon that he will use to to give visitors rides.Watch this space for further updates and the opening date.
